Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Med Inc home health care

What services does Med Inc provide?
Today we offer certified Home Health Aide (HHA) services in Naples and surrounding Collier County. Our aides assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and companionship. Skilled nursing and therapy services are launching soon.
How much do your services cost?
Our rates depend on the level of care needed and the payer source (private pay vs. insurance vs. Medicaid). Most clients fall between $26–$32 per hour. Call or request care below for an exact quote — first consultations are free.
Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes — we work with Florida Medicaid (Long-Term Care Waiver) and most major private insurers and long-term care insurance plans. We'll verify your benefits before starting care.
How quickly can care start?
For non-urgent cases, typically within 3–5 business days from the initial request. For hospital discharges or urgent needs, we can often start within 24–48 hours.
Are your caregivers background-checked?
Every Med Inc caregiver passes a Florida Level 2 background screening (fingerprint-based, AHCA Clearinghouse), TB testing, and CPR certification. Their credentials are tracked and renewed automatically through our compliance system.
Do you provide 24-hour or live-in care?
Yes. We schedule shifts in 4-hour minimum blocks and can build out 24/7 coverage for clients who need it. Live-in care is available for stable, low-acuity cases.
What if my caregiver is a bad fit?
Tell us. Compatibility matters — we don't assign caregivers, we introduce them. If the match isn't right, we'll find someone better, no charge, no hassle.
Can family members track visits?
Yes. Every family member can be invited to our Family Portal where they see today's visit status, recent visit notes, vital signs, and the assigned caregiver. Ask your coordinator to invite you — the access code is delivered by email.
How do you verify visits?
We use Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) compliant with the 21st Century Cures Act. Caregivers clock in and out from their phones with GPS check-in, and a continuous location trail is logged for every shift.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts. We ask for 14 days written notice for ongoing cases so we can plan transitions, but you can cancel at any time.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Med Inc is licensed by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), bonded, and carries professional liability and workers' compensation insurance.
Do you provide care in Spanish?
Sí. Tenemos cuidadores que hablan español, inglés y creole. Solicite un cuidador específico cuando llene el formulario.
